a slightly different birthday ...

RadsturzActually, I was supposed to be at the squire's starting gun an hour ago. The goal was to knock one out of the long distance today on my birthday. I've worked really hard for the last 2-3 months and was in good shape recently. The day before yesterday while driving down the track I carelessly flew my bike over a bollard and injured myself so that a start was impossible today. An open wound that had to be sutured and chipped bone in the elbow. Perfect timing again! The disappointment is deep for now. That was not how I had imagined the day today.

As a triathlete, however, you are used to the fact that it is not always sunshine and that you also have to face setbacks. Unfortunately, that's part of it. It is important to stick with it and keep going. My friend Grischa broke his collarbone seven times and he still gets on his bike again and again.

Triathlon taught me a lot. Discipline and that hard work is rewarded at some point. Properties that are also reflected in life. So I am now sitting here and using the 2-3 weeks compulsory break to write my next book. Life goes on and the next time it will be even better 🙂

Enjoy the last beautiful summer days and all the best and maximum success for the participants of the Knappenmann today!
