Hi Guys,<\/p>\n

yesterday finally got the official approval of the district for my individual time trial from May 29th. fluttered in. About 20 minutes later I got a call from the building authority responsible. "Part of the road over which the time trial leads will be built on on the same day".<\/p>\n

Uh ... Oh my goodness, pictures of hundreds of disappointed cyclists were already buzzing around in my head, whom I had to cancel the race at the last second and who kicked my apartment door in the morning at 7am !!! I submitted the application in January and the building office is located directly in the district office, don't they even see each other in the hallway or something?<\/p>\n

\u201cBut don't worry,\u201d the official assured me, \u201cI think that we will have finished the construction project in good time before the start at 10am.\u201d Whether I will in an emergency and if the weather gets worse, because then the asphalt cannot be laid , had an alternative route ready? hmm ... now on the phone, approx. 30 kilometers away from the scene, which I actually only know the main road from ... "unfortunately no"!<\/p>\n

In no time at all, I phoned local residents who fortunately were able to give me an alternative. Whereby there is always one thing with the alternatives, unfortunately you have to accept compromises with all of them, e.g. shortening the route, etc., otherwise it would not have been the alternative, but the main plan. When I rang the doorbell again at the district office, the cheerful officer answered and assured me that everything had been sorted out. At the start time the road is released.<\/p>\n
