Hi Guys,<\/div>\n

for our 2010 season in the 2nd Triathlon Bundesliga, which starts in a few weeks, we have only had to accept bad news so far. From our initially strong starting contingent, three men have now dropped out \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

Franky Neumann<\/strong>who, after Hawaii last October, wanted to finally concentrate on the shorter distances this year, has now had to take a break for almost four weeks because of a fatigue fracture in his foot. Well, cheer up Frank! Now you can learn smartly for your studies \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

A few days ago I already told you something about my shoulder problems and the now imminent operation. Unfortunately, I am also unable to attend.<\/p>\n

But worst of all is my buddy\u00a0Steffen Alex<\/strong> Caught! He hasn't been able to run a single meter for four months! I really care about his story and you can feel really sorry for the poor guy. I spoke to him on the phone today. He is currently in the hospital and had an operation on his ankle on Monday. The joint was so destroyed that the doctors could actually only do damage limitation. At the age of 32 he will probably never run again, let alone run a triathlon: ((((<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

Also known as Captain Chaos<\/strong> he had his best races in Hawaii in 2007 and in Roth in 2009, where he crossed the finish line in an insane 8:32 hours!<\/p>\n

\n2004 Appearance in the 2nd Bundesliga for ASC-Teuschnitz, 3 x top 5 placements
\n2005 move to SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen, start in the 2nd Bundesliga with various top 10 placements
\n2006 Start in the 2nd BL with further top 10 placements<\/p>\n

2007 IRONMAN South Africa, 17th place overall, 2nd place, age group 25, in 9:44 a.m. despite a traffic accident one week before the race. Bike ready to drive again only one day before the race
\n2007 IRONMAN Hawaii World Championship 67th place overall in a personal best of 9: 17h with a TOP running time in 3: 04h despite bad omens (theft of the competition bike, new wheels only delivered one day before the start)
\n2008 Cologne Triathlon (IRONMAN distance) 5th place with a new best time in 8: 53h and the best total time in 2: 57h despite food poisoning two weeks before the race, followed by 5 days of bed rest
\n2009 Challenge Roth, 20th place overall in 8: 32h !!!<\/p>\n

So, if you are injured or have any complaints all the time, have yourself examined and see a doctor! I know triathletes are tough, and they just like to keep training if they have a problem. But if you do this for too long, the sport may end at some point, and I do not wish that to any of you!<\/p>\n

Of course it will\u00a0still start our team in the 2nd league<\/strong>, our failures are replaced by those who train no less diligently Philipp Stadter, Stefan Braun, Sebastian Sticker<\/strong> and Christoph Schmidt<\/strong>. Led by Andreas Dreitz<\/strong>who is currently so fit that he will probably win one or two league races!<\/p>\n
