Because of Grandma and Grandpa's 58th wedding anniversary, I decided at short notice to go to my parents' house this weekend and use the time to finally visit everyone again. After I actually wanted to start a duathlon, which was supposed to take place in the Nuremberg area, I now started without further ado at the Oederaner 10km run near Chemnitz.<\/p>\n

The idea came spontaneously after breakfast. The evening before, we were still at the annual witch burn in the neighborhood, including a night of drowning.<\/p>\n

So I threw myself into the fray at 11:30 punctually, with my mouth dry as dust and on fire. When I asked about the course and the profile of the route, I got the answer: "At first slightly uphill, then straight and down again" - ok, all right, no problem! Correspondingly motivated, I first ran after the two leaders, about to kilometer 1, then the "recreational run for everyone", initially propagated as harmless, suddenly turned out to be an ultra-tough cross-country run!<\/p>\n

Climbing with 15% incline, crazy curves where I got lost twice, roots at ankle height, etc. \ud83d\ude42 But I was not endangered or endangered because the two "mountain goats" in front of me at some point already had a 30sec lead and no one behind me was seen. For fun I counted about the minutes I ran on the level track, it was about 7 minutes. Otherwise it went either up or down \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

After following my initial naivety, of course, having fully overtaken the first 3 kilometers, the rest of the run became pretty "hard"! Maybe I should have believed that one runner who previously said that the winning times in the past were 40 minutes \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, as is always the case at the end, the run was still a lot of fun !! The organization was extremely good and with a lot of helpers it was very well positioned. A strenuous, but also very recommendable run.
\nAfter 38: 55min and with rock-hard thighs, I crossed the finish line in third place and 2 minutes later I got the call from my grandmother who asked: \u201cWhere are you ??? Food is ready!!"
\nSo we hurried and a few minutes later sat in the car, towards lunch \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
