Triathlon Kallmünz on the weekend!

In the picture above you can see Steffen (Alex) at the Baur Triathlon two weeks ago. He loves his long bike rides that take him from Lichtenfels to Düsseldorf or Tchechien. This was also the case on the day before the competition, when he actually cycled 210km 😉 Sometimes he covers the bike kilometers for which I smoke a whole month in four days! Now he just has to do a few more quick units and is absolutely fit for the IM in Klagenfurt.

Yesterday I was back at Rothsee and did my super cool 😉 pair training there. This time Thorsten was part of the party. Shortly before swimming, I noticed that I had forgotten my Neo ... shit ... with borrowed swimming trunks, at 18 degrees I'm after Thorsten for half an hour.

After that I was so cold that it took me over 20km on the bike to get halfway warm again. Since I was a little tired yesterday and had to keep Thorsten in my field of vision, this time the 85km lap was relatively dignified, and in the end we had a close to 36 mark on the speedometer.

In the final run, we ran down the Rothsee running route. After a somewhat misunderstood route, I got dressed after the first turning point, knowing for sure that I could only walk straight ahead to the car, but no ... I got lost, saw Thorsten take another junction behind me and my escape attempt was over. So remember: never run ahead if you don't know the way 🙂

If you start at the Rothsee Tria, you can look forward to the running track, absolutely terrible, just up and down, three turns and a bunch of corners ... if you thought up something like that ... in the end we somehow ran a 4-section on the km.

As far as I am concerned, you can do the bike routes selectively (because of slipstream problems), but when running it is completely sufficient to send people on relatively straight paths, you don't have to build 200 meters in altitude!

Great weather is reported at the weekend, just right for my start at the Kallmünz Triathlon on Saturday! I start on the classic short distance: 1.5km swim, 42km bike and 10km run ... yeah 😉

good training!!
