Ironman Frankfurt

What an exciting heat race on Sunday! Some of my athletes were on the way again, all with personal bests or the very first Ironman finish, despite the very hot weather.

Michael Meisen was the first to cross the finish line after 9:20 hours with a new best time, then Sven Vandershot in 9:21 hours (he undercut his best time from the previous year by an hour), and then Oliver Spurzem completed the fast trio in 9:24 hours, also in a new personal best.

Thorsten Dürr, editor of the sports magazine LOOX, ended the heat battle after 9:40 hours and was super happy with his first time under 10 hours.

Christine Weiss completed her first Ironman ever, in a great time of 11:53 hours. Shortly afterwards, Ingo Schüßler also crossed the finish line for the first time in a long distance, who unfortunately had to walk half the distance due to a running injury (12:00: 23 hours) and Bodo Lange in 12:12 hours

The conclusion was formed by Jochen Strack, who also undercut his old best time by one hour (12:43 hours)

Unfortunately, Bine was taken out of the race after the first cycle lap because the waiting period was exceeded. Here the goal set from the beginning was to reach the finish line within the time limit. Unfortunately this didn't work out, but she still enjoyed it and doesn't have to be sad either. At some point the revenge comes.

Congratulations to all the other finishers of the Ironman Frankfurt
sunny greetings
