Nice prospects!

Dream weather is forecast for the next few days! Perfect conditions for my re-entry into training after the IM Switzerland 2 ½ weeks ago. After I was able to really relax for the last two weeks, I am slowly feeling ready again for my training workload to Hawaii in October. In the last few days Julia and I were able to go to a few parties and beer gardens again, I finally found time to play the computer, could read a lot and I even went to the massage 🙂

After consultation with Bennie, I'll start again with the basics, now and then sprinkle a few tips into my units and see how I feel about it.
I think especially with the view that this will be my third long distance this year, I should be careful not to gamble. I think that's what happened to a friend of mine when he was preparing for Roth this year. In the end, he was actually fit much too early and accordingly lost motivation 5 weeks before Roth and was much slower in the race than I actually think he should be.
If that happens to you, and you notice that you will soon "tip" over the cliff, there is, from my experience, a good way to stop the case. Immediately reduce the intensity, loosen up for a few days and then push the foundation back into the program for 1-2 weeks. Of course, this only works if the competition is far enough away. When the competition is just around the corner, take a few days' rest and hope that it will be enough ?!
My competition plan to Hawaii probably looks like this:
August: a few short runs, but where? … Proposals??
Beginning of September: Sachsenring Tria (sprint distance) and the next day Rochlitz mountain triathlon (middle distance) with Thorsten (let's see who hits the jackpot? 😉
End of September: duathlon or half marathon

By the way, yesterday I earned the gold mechanic badge! I got the cassette from my broken rear wheel with a crank puller and bare hands !! when the chain whip ripped off the Stadler cheap tool case on the first try. (Which brought me all sorts of stitches, abrasions and totally oily hands) Now I can glue tubular tires, change cassettes, oil chains ... so if you don't know what to do and need mechanical advice, just drop by 🙂

Skin clean!
