Wednesday I took my time off again to incorporate a nice basic unit. That worked out quite well, except that I needed two or even more gels for the final coupling run. At the end of the day, the pace was rather leisurely.

The cycling on Friday was good, I rode Kraft for the first time this year, so it was almost the entire unit on the thick sheet. On Sunday it occurred to me that I haven't had a long run this week, so I took cycling as a starting load and then shot myself off on the long run 😉 I can only recommend such a unit to a limited extent because you really take food with you have to! and at some point there can also be muscular problems. My legs were tight for the last half hour ...

  1. You can do that too, it's still mainly the basis.

    This is also one of the reasons why success in triathlon sometimes takes so long. You spend a large part of the training time getting yourself into the physical position to train intelligently.

    If I had done something like this 4 years ago, I would have been sick a week after. So just be patient 😉

  2. Don't worry, everyone should do exactly what they are able to do and what is also fun.
    However, I always find it fascinating how many manage to get family, work and training under one roof.

    I'm going to do my first long distance in Roth this year and I'm already looking forward to it!
