Training 01.12. - 07.12.14

TrainingSodala, finally again a day of rest or working day on Monday. On my non-training day, I feel like I'm on vacation, at least physically. In addition, this is also my "mud day", ie I eat Haribo, pizza and the like. For this I am disciplined again the other days. I imagine that on the day of rest, something over the severity of beating the regeneration is good for regeneration, or accelerates it. Or maybe it's just a mental effect. Anyway, I enjoy it 😉

Last week went well. Cycling is not that busy at the moment, I just make sure that I ride until I'm too cold and then go home again. Preferably with fellow sufferers, so that you can tell yourself in retrospect what a tough dog you are, and every now and then everyone rants how you can be so stupid to cycle in the cold and drizzling rain ... haha

I'm slowly getting back on track as I run. My highlight was a train test on Wednesday. 15km long, alternating 1000m in 3:50 and for recovery in 4:20. Already at the 2nd interval I was so “on fire” that I was much too fast in the recovery interval, and I didn't even manage to run 4:20 until the end. But if it works, then you have to let it go! The next day I had a sore throat ... but hey, an experienced athlete knows how much he can train without it getting worse. So I postponed it until today and my throat is already doing great again 😉 Sunday then another long run that wanted never-ending. But after 28km it was over. Thanks to my friend who ran the first 11km, it wasn't that boring until then.

This time I even went swimming quite often. However, after the experience of this season, I vowed to pay more attention to quality than to size. When I think back to my early days, I swam 3 times a week and in Roth I had 54 minutes on the 3.8 km. This year I swam as much as never before and was slower. So again, more quality and above all strength training. I did that for 3-4 weeks back then. Hardly any more this season. So this time I started with a 2000m test. Sounds like endless agony, but it wasn't that bad. Apart from the fact that my head soon exploded in a water temperature of 31 degrees. Less than 30 minutes, that's ok for me and at the moment.

I wish you a successful week!
