last day in training camp

The last day in the training camp has dawned. Today it rains here for the first time, in two weeks. So time for me to leave here again 😉
After a week of good training, I have covered around 800 kilometers by bike and 90 kilometers by running. I usually cycle that much in a month, but it was fun 🙂 I didn't swim a single meter for that, my shoulder still gives me problems.
In the footsteps of Jan Ullrich
The day before yesterday I tried Mallorca's most famous ascent, the Puig Major (is it written that way?) Jan Ulrich once climbed the 14 kilometers, with an average ascent of 7%, in an amazing 31 minutes. So what could I do but try it myself?
I was able to outrun Sven, my pursuer, after 2 kilometers, but cracking the 31 minutes, no chance;)) After this time I still had 4km of mountain in front of me ... laugh. Completely ready and sweaty down to my socks, I came panting up the last climb after 43 minutes.
Incidentally, Luke did it in 39 minutes, no wonder his bike weighs 20kg less 😉
Sven and Chris, my pursuers 😉
Today it's all about easy stretching and running. Maybe I'll finally be able to read a few pages, I haven't gotten around to it yet.

interview
If you're up in the next few days http://www.netzathleten.de/ If you look in the “Triathlon Channel”, I can see a video interview there in which I talk to sports journalist Joerg Birkel about the topic of my book: Triathlon for professionals.
happy Easter…

  1. Hi Krelli,
Two weeks ago I also started up the Puig twice. But if I remember correctly we were 4 minutes slower than you!

I would have been interested in what you would have needed for sa Calobra 🙂 (we had 37 minutes)

    best regards
    Martin

  2. Hi Martin,

you were still very fast !!
Interesting question, unfortunately I did not stop, or do not even know whether I went up there. Unfortunately, I don't know my way around this well yet.

    dig in!
